My kids and daycare kids love playing pretend baking and cooking. They have a canvas tote full of play food and dishes and have a play kitchen as well. We even have two small drawers in our real kitchen that are full of play food so the kids can pretend to cook while mommy is making lunch or dinner.
I came across the cutest diy play donuts using sold (and clean) socks. I made these three donuts in less than 30 minutes!
Materials You Will Need:
* Clean Sock (any color will do)
* Scissors
* Colored Felt
* Colored Beads
* Sting/Thread
* Needle
Instructions:
1. Cut the toe off the sock.
2. Roll the sock to create a donut shape.
3. Cut icing out of felt and sew it onto your sock donut.
4. Sew the colored beads all over the top of the "icing" to look like "sprinkles"
5. Sit back and watch your kids enjoy your diy project!
Note: I also saw where someone that did not want to take the time to sew it on or did not have the materials to sew it together used a hot glue. They hot glued the felt on top and then used puffy paint in different colors to make this sprinkles. Such a cute idea!
